Senior Manager, Finance, Netherlands
The Role
This position will be reporting to the Financial Controller based in the Netherlands, you will be leading the Dutch finance team for the assigned portfolio for Western Europe in the Finance Department. You will be liaising with various parties such as inter-departments, external consultants, auditors, external property manager and operators.
Job Responsibilities
• Oversee full spectrum of financial and accounting functions of the assigned portfolio in the Finance team.
• Manage operational activities of the finance team, including streamlining processes and procedures to promote efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure timely preparation of full set of financial statements for group reporting and statutory audit and managing the audit process, including liaising with auditors.
• Budgeting and forecasting for the portfolio of entities.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies (including delegation of authority, procurement policy, etc.).
• Key driver for implementation of group policies, processes and systems.
• Reviews regulatory and compliance reporting requirements, including quarterly GST reporting of entities within the Group.
• Assist in ad-hoc projects driving process improvement such as SAP implementation, etc.
Job Requirements
• Chartered Accountant (CA) with Degree in Accountancy or ACCA or its equivalent.
• At least 7 to 10 years of relevant accounting experiences and / or audit experinces with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
• Well-versed in GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience in SAP and Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) would be highly advantageous.
• Experience in real estate or financial services industry is a clear advantage.
• Hands on with finance operations experience, good accounting knowledge, responsible, assertive, and experienced in managing people and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• The role involves frequent liaising with various parties such as inter-department, property managers/agents and auditors, hence good verbal and written communication skills are required.
