The Role
This position will lead a team of procurement staff in planning, organising and executing the procurement activities mainly for the property management team across multiple assets with the objective of obtaining the most competitive pricing for the products and services procured, whilst ensuring compliance with procurement policies and SOPs.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and support to internal business units on sourcing and procurement capabilities and processes, and the procurement team in the execution of procurement activities for the property management team including vendor management activities and relationships, service level agreements and contract negotiations.
- Source, obtain and evaluate the most competitive pricing for the products and services procured.
- Review tender documents, tender evaluations and analysis, and quality checks on goods and services prepared by the team.
- Review and update the approved vendor list periodically.
- Plan, schedule and monitor the procurement of term contracts and minor capital projects to ensure timely approval and award.
- Prepare reports and statistics for management review.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with procurement policies and SOPs.
- Reinforce standards, process and templates that support the delivery of procurement activities, conduct periodic audits on the procurement process and documentation.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Project and Facility Management Building / Material Engineering or its equivalent.
- At least 8 years of relevant experiences in sourcing and procurement best practices, purchasing skills, with exposures to Real Estate, Facilities and/or Property Management, with some experience in leading a team.
- Experiences in quantity surveying or involved in Addition and Alteration (A&A) work tenders (i.e.builder’s works or M&E services works) is required.
- Experience in energy procurement or eProcurement system will be an advantage.
- Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Experience in using SAP and/or eProcurement will be advantageous.
- Meticulous, resourceful and proactive to drive cost management, with good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Strong team player with the ability to build relationships to achieve successful results, to multi-task and prioritise work well.
