Senior Manager, Finance, Vietnam
The Role
This position will be supporting the assigned portfolio in the Finance Department.
Job Responsibilities
1. Chief Accountant:
Timely preparation of full set of financial statements for group reporting, statutory audit and tax returns, including but not limited to:
• Lead, train and mentor the finance team for the assigned portfolio.
• Month end closing, intercompany and bank reconciliation, preparing of monthly management reporting and audit schedules.
• Timely preparation and accurate reporting of financial matters/ results, management reports / BU KPIs to the BU head, analysis of results, forecast/ budgeting, management accounts and submissions to the relevant Group Finance Reporting teams
2. Team Lead of Account Payables and Banking matters:
Overseeing the process and work arrangement to ensure staff to handle daily tasks in accordance to Group Policies and statutory requirements including but not limited to the following:
- Account Payables:
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies (including delegation of authority, procurement policy, etc.) and consistent standard process / polices applicable across subsidiaries.
• Ensure AP team to deliver good quality in daily work, including all payment is properly checked and released within the deadline.
• Develop AP team members to be able to interact actively with other departments and have thorough knowledge.
• Contact point to discuss with other departments regarding to applicable process/ proper approving levels in incurrence of expenses, payment related issues.
• Credit review analysis for tenders if required.
- Banking Matters:
• Ensure bank mandate and call back list update correctly for all Mapletree entities in Vietnam on a timely basis.
• Ensure user access for maker, viewer, checker, authorizer in Internet banking update correctly.
• Ensure Treasury module work properly.
• Review all Treasury reports including Loan movement report to Statebank of Vietnam, Cash report, etc.
• Cash management for the best interest of Group (competitive deposit interest rates, FX rate, bank charge, etc.
• Dealing with banks for all banking related matters.
Job Requirements
- Strong leadership, problem solving and people management skill.
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, ACCA, or its equivalent.
- At least 10 to 12 years of relevant working experience with 6 years of managerial experience, good knowledge in IFRS and well-versed in VAS, Vietnam tax and other regulatory requirements.
- Good English in both verbal and written skills, responsible, meticulous, good team payer and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong hands-on experience in finance operations, good accounting knowledge and proficient in MS Office.
- Proficiency in BPC, SAP/ S4 HANA/ VIM would be advantageous.
- Relevant experience in real estate industry / MNC is an added advantage.
