The Role
This position will be responsible for supporting and delivering the multiple projects on Mapletree’s commercial assets across the UK and Ireland. You will manage service providers to implement the execution of CAPEX/OPEX projects, rectification works, and assist in overseeing all M&E upgrading projects in compliance with building safety requirements and standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with the coordination of internal resources and vendors for the flawless execution of projects
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Support the budgeting process and track the cost controlling of expenses
- Assist with the planning, coordination and delivery of the capital asset enhancement/upgrade projects, tenant improvement works, fit-out projects
- Support on the development and implementation of necessary works processes and project delivery procedures to successfully deliver key projects, support contracts and/or generally service our requirements
- Be responsible for controlling these projects, and support contracts on-site, to ensure the standard of works is as expected
- Risk management and quality control of the project and other support activities carried out on the sites encompassing technical aspects
- Assist the Asset Managers and Property Managers in terms of fit-out projects and tenant move-out and move-in procedures; management of works connected to these processes
- Procure service contracts and liaise with relevant service providers to implement rectification works
- Ensure that operations are consistent with the asset objectives and standards of accreditation or regulatory agencies, including compliance with building safety requirements and standards
- Prepare and analyze reports for monthly management reporting
- Strong cooperation with the outsourced Property Managers and Project Managers, FM companies in scope of projects and technical works to ensure quality and productivity is consistent and provide supervision as well as guidance
- Provide monthly project reviews with Heads of Departments, Property Managers, Asset Managers, Finance Managers and the Procurement team.
Job Requirements
- Possess a technical qualification in either a construction, mechanical or electrical discipline with strong project experience in the office/commercial industry
- Possess a recognised qualification in project management
- At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in technical/ project management with proven experience of managing project managers
- Technical knowledge, knowledge of construction procedures, building maintenance, technical services, fire protection works and regulations, building load and technical codes and other regulations
- Experience in sustainable solution implementation would be an added advantage
- Proficient in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
- Knowledge of technical software AutoCAD
- Knowledge of technical documentation standard and all required procedures with respect to valid regulations and law
- Strong planning, communication skills and good interpersonal skills are essential
- Ability to manage operations and projects simultaneously
- Professional working levels of English are essential for this role
