The Role

 

This position will be responsible for all tax issues for the Group in United Kingdom and Ireland.

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Monitor and report changes in tax regulations and tax environment in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
  • Promote awareness and understanding of tax issues/requirements in local businesses and work closely with the Finance Team.
  • Assist with the tax due diligence and structuring for acquisitions and disposals in United Kingdom and Ireland.
  • Monitor tax policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Manage tax compliance and transfer pricing process with external tax advisor.
  • Handle other reports and analysis as needed as well as participate in ad-hoc projects.
  • Work closely with the Vice President, Tax (based in Amsterdam).

Job Requirements

 

  • Possess Degree in Tax or its equivalent or any professional tax qualifications.
  • Strong knowledge of United Kingdom tax laws and regulations, especially corporate tax, including ability to translate those into practice.
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience within area of tax advisory or in-house tax counsel.
  • You should be independent and organised, possessing good analytical skills.
  • Candidates with prior working experience in one of the “Big 4” accounting firms will have an additional advantage.
  • Exposure to complex real estate transactions or fund structures would be considered advantageous.
