The Role

 

This position will be responsible for delivering delivering capex projects and strategies for various project types. Ranging from fire safety, health and safety and AEI upgrades across a vast portfolio of student accommodation. Working closely with Investment, Asset Management and site teams to budget, plan and deliver across the portfolio.

Job Responsibilities

  • ​​​​​​Review and develop capex project requests in to full scopes to deliver in-line with our agreed SOPs
  • Liaise with and manage various external consultants and contractors to deliver the required documentation for successful project delivery
  • Develop and implement QA / QC SOPs to provide input into various project types - ensuring all works are completed inline with agreed scopes and budgets
  • Create tender documentation to undertake the procurement process for various services and projects, inline with the company requirements
  • Manage multiple projects at once, including via external project managers, providing regular updates on status and any changes
  • Support Investment Teams in procuring and undertaking due diligence on various elements of asset investment / divestment processes
  • Propose, plan and co-ordinate capital asset enhancement / upgrade projects and tenant improvement works
  • Monitor and track various projects being undertaken by on-site teams and / or external contractors
  • Support the Asset Management team in the budgeting process and monitor and report on the cost controlling of expenses
  • Prepare monthly reporting for senior teams on project statuses, including cost, scope and programme updates

 

Job Requirements

 

  • Degree or equivalent in Project Management, Construction, Building Services or similar.
  • At least 7 to 10 years of relevant hands-on experiences in managing multiple projects.
  • Possess sound knowledge in tenant management, building maintenance, technical services and construction work.
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
  • Strong leadership, planning, communication skills and good interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage operations and projects simultaneously.
