The Role

 

You are responsible for managing structured procurement activities, contract administration and associated processes across various real estate asset classes, by supporting the company’s strategic direction and assist with building an organization that will expertly execute procurement control processes.

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Gain a strong understanding of Mapletree’s procurement policies and procedures, assisting with implementing and maintaining company-wide conformance to internal and regulatory policies.
  • Promote strategic and operational functions for volume aggregation and standardization, supplier base optimization, and development of cost-saving synergies across asset classes.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing best practices in all procurement processes and build supportive internal and external relationships across functions and organizations.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide expertise and advice on existing processes and new approaches to sourcing and contract management.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME), technical expert, and coach for colleagues on compliance with relevant company policies and procedures.
  • Partner with SMEs to plan new joint initiatives, evaluate proposals, and supplier base optimization.
  • Facilitate new and ongoing procurement actions (RFIs, RFPs, etc.) for goods and services required across all asset classes.
  • Perform cost comparisons and analyses as needed to support internal stakeholders.
  • Generates reports for various procurement activities as well as on ad hoc requests as needed by senior management.
  • Manages administrative activities encompassing contracts, records, and general file retention.
  • Drive cross-functional cost reduction initiatives in the related spend categories and sites.

Job Requirements

 

  • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent.
  • At least 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Possess knowledge of procurement best-practices, with exposures to Real Estate and/or Facilities Management.
  • Ability to understand contract language terms/conditions, business/ financial principles, and a strong ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Proficient in MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and familiarity with e-procurement systems are preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, decision making, and influencing skills, along with effective negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to present to different organizational levels.
  • Strong work ethic.
