The Role

 

Mapletree, a well established, stable, and growing international Real Estate Private Equity firm located in midtown Manhattan seeks an experienced, motivated Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead our AP team.

Job Responsibilities

The supervisor will be personally performing hands-on day-to-day tasks and work closely with the AP team to Manage the following responsibilities.

 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Manage the monthly bank reconciliation for the US Management Company and work closely with the US Management Company accounting team to ensure the monthly reconciliation is complete
  • Supervise, train and mentor a team of 3 AP associates and 1 AP contractor
  • Timely and proper payment of vendor invoices
  • Processing and reconciling employee issued corporate credit cards
  • Processing, reviewing and reconciling employee travel claims
  • Track employee travel claim reimbursements
  • Reconciliation of vendor statements (ie. Bank Card, Travel FedEx, Internet and Cable, etc)
  • Manage the monthly AP financial close
  • Perform other duties or special projects as required qualifications
  • Review and approve AP staff journal entries

Job Responsibilities Cont.

  • Manage recurring payments to vendors such as, monthly loan interest payments, bank card, etc.
  • Complete year-end 1099’s MISC
  • Perform other duties or special projects, as required
  • Be innovative, lead the team, and enhance AP workflow and payment processes
  • Work closely with offshore counterparties on AP related system improvements as well as general AP tasks

Job Requirements

  • Experience training and supervising an AP department
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with superb interpersonal skills to interact professionally and effectively with internal business partners
  • Possess excellent organizational skills, pay attention to details
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Ability to follow up on pending issues and meet deadlines
  • Meticulous, organised and a good team player.

 

Compensation: $72,000 - $85,000
