Assistant Manager, Finance (Consolidation and Reporting), Logistics, Korea

The Role

 

This position will be leading a small team and responsible for assigned portfolio in the Finance Department.

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Ensure timely month end closing, intercompany reconciliation, bank reconciliation, preparation of monthly management reporting and audit schedules.
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly variance analysis report based on actuals vs Budget (Prior periods)
  • The monthly closing involves reviewing accounts prepared by the property managers/agents, including GAAP differences and accounts classification, before entity accounts closing.
  • Support monthly/quarterly management reporting and working with internal asset management team on analyzing monthly financial performance
  • Preparing credit review for potential vendors based on financial statements
  • Approving bank instruction and all account payable process in SAP as an AP approving officer
  • Set the payment schedules based on cashflow
  • Treasury support such as  preparing the bank documents and communicating with banks regarding bank mandate and e-banking setting
  • Ensure timely preparation of full set of financial statements for group reporting and statutory audit and managing the audit process, including liaising with auditors.
  • Handling of tax matters (includes corporate, withholding taxes, VAT) including preparation of tax computation and working closely with tax consultants on tax computation/filing submission and liaising with consultants and/or authorities on queries.
  • Budgeting and forecasting for the portfolio of entities.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies (including delegation of authority, procurement policy, etc.).
  • Key driver for implementation of group policies, processes and systems.
  • Assist in ad-hoc projects driving process improvement such as SAP implementation, etc.

Job Requirements

 

  • Degree in Accountancy, Economics or Business Administration (USCPA or KICPA preferred)
  • Minimum 8 years of working experiences with at least 2 years of relevant managerial experience.
  • Well-versed in GAAP and IFRS.
  • Experience in SAP and BPC would be highly advantageous.
  • Experience in real estate or fund industry will have an added advantage.
  • Hands on with finance operations experience, good accounting knowledge, responsible, assertive, and experienced in managing people and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Frequent liaising with various parties such as inter-department, property managers/agents and auditors, hence good verbal and written communication skills are required.
