Assistant Manager, Marketing Communications (A&P)

The Role


This position will assist and support the Manager, Marketing Communications in leading the team to formulate and implement the Advertising and Promotional (A&P) strategy for the shopping mall including VivoCity Singapore, Alexandra Retail Centre and Mapletree Business City. This includes events, media awareness, PR, loyalty programmes and social media. 

Job Responsibilities


  • Managing day to day function of the Marketing Communications team and providing supervision to staff.
  • Assist and support the manager in leading and managing the team to drive shopper traffic and increase tenant sales as well as effective communication programmes for strong brand positioning. 
  • Provide strong strategic leadership in coaching the team to formulate and implement events, media awareness, PR, loyalty programmes and social media. 
  • Ensure that all approvals and documentation complies with internal audit. 
  • Track and report on campaign ROI through measurable objectives and improve effectiveness based on research and evaluation. 
  • Maintaining a good network of advertising, public relations and media agencies as well as manage tenant and external partners. 
  • Responsible for budgeting and tracking of expenditure for management reporting. 
  • To collaborate and cooperate within teams in the Marketing Communications department, as well as inter-departments within the Management office.

Job Requirements


  • Degree in Marketing or Mass Communications
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in the shopping mall or retail industry
  • Independent, meticulous, resourceful and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as a keen eye for detail and design aesthetics. 
  • Strategic planning skills, display excellent leadership and be a good team player that is able to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
