The Role

 

This position will be responsible for procuring major goods and services for various Mapletree entities within the Group.You will have to plan, organise and execute the procurement activities for mainly property management teams across various assets with the objective of obtaining the most competitive pricing for the products and services procured, whilst ensuring compliance with procurement policies and SOPs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance in the execution of procurement activities for the property management team and to the more junior procurement team members.
  • Source, obtain and evaluate the most competitive pricing for the products and services procured.
  • Prepare tender documents, tender evaluations and analysis, and quality checks on goods and services.
  • Review and update the approved vendor list periodically – maintain preferred vendor list, build up cost data & implement e-procurement sourcing.
  • Plan, schedule and monitor the procurement of term contracts and minor capital projects to ensure timely approval and award.
  • Prepare reports and statistics for management review.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with procurement policies and SOPs.
  • Conduct periodic audits on the procurement process and documentation.

Job Requirements

 

  • Degree in Project and Facility Management Building / Material Engineering or its equivalent.
  • At least 6 years of relevant experiences in Facilities Management within the real estate industries, involved in operations and engineering procurement.
  • Possessed experiences in quantity surveying or involved in Addition and Alteration (A&A) work tenders (i.e.builder’s works or M&E services works) is required.
  • Experience in energy procurement or eProcurement system will be an advantage.
  • Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Experience in using SAP and/or eProcurement will be advantageous.
  • Meticulous, resourceful and proactive to drive cost management, with good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
