Director, Finance (Based in Sinagpore)

The Role

This position will be responsible for all accounting and management reporting functions of Mapletree Group including overseas subsidiaries and funds managed by the Group.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee full spectrum of group accounting and management reporting functions, in accordance with the statutory requirements as well as company policies and procedures.
• In charge of leading the team for timely and accurate preparation and analysis of the group financial and management reports, quarterly reports to the shareholder, Audit and Risk Committee and Board of Directors, liaising with external auditors for year-end closing.
• Key driver for implementation of group accounting policies, finance processes and systems and finance organisation changes.
• Fundamental understanding of all financial processes in major ERP systems to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimisation to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Knowledge of Finance and Treasury products to lead accounting for hedging of financial risks. 
• Assist in ad-hoc projects relating to system roll-out, process improvement and new accounting standards.
• Support any ad-hoc assignments as required.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy or ACCA or its equivalent.
• Possess 15 to 20 years of relevant working experience, ideally with initial years in a Big 4 audit firm followed by commercial experience with at least 8 years in a managerial capacity, managing a reasonably large team.
• Experienced in managing/handling a large group and complex consolidation and hedge accounting.
• Well-versed in GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience in SAP and Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) and system implementation would be highly advantageous.
• Experience in real estate industry is a clear advantage.
• Hands on with finance operations experience, good accounting knowledge, responsible, assertive, and experienced in managing people and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, responsible, meticulous, good team leader and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
