Director, Information Systems & Technology (Based in Singapore)

The Role

Under the general direction of the Head of Department for Information Technology, provide the leadership, vision, and direction for the Application Services and data team within the Department of Information Technology. This team provides support to critical applications of the company, and other related systems including data management. The successful candidate will be a dynamic leader, excellent communicator, have demonstrable expertise in project management, and above all be customer and team focused. Manage and supervise assigned technical and support staff; work closely with stakeholders from across the corporation to define and implement technology enhancements and solutions. Responsible for planning, implementation, and programming of applications systems, including overall design, development, integration, and maintenance.

Ultimate objective of this role is to enhance end user experience by spearheading technology innovation, particularly in the business transaction system, CRM, data strategy. This person will accelerate the organization digitization uptake by defining systematic approaches and targeted efforts to bring business process optimization and meaningful automations, data strategy and execution of data platform that help in the ease of doing business, utilizing existing application systems and Business Intelligence capabilities.

• Identify the types of data the organization has or needs, set data use goals, and determine the tools and resources needed to implement the plan.
• Collaborating with different teams and departments to understand their data needs and ensure that the data strategy aligns with the overall business strategy
• Assessing the organization's current data infrastructure and making recommendations for improvement
• Working with technical teams to implement data-related systems and processes
• Analyzing data to identify trends and insights that can inform decision-making
• Providing training and support to teams on how to use data effectively

Job Responsibilities

• Enable 4Ps (Paradigm, Process, Position and Product) of innovation using emerging technologies to attain business vision.
• Implement enterprise application projects, directing requirements definition, development, validation, and ongoing maintenance activities. Planning, developing, supervising and implementing IT projects utilizing the established project management tools and techniques.
• Spearhead the strategic mapping of core competency for the key product/business areas, and advocate digital transformation opportunities.
• Fiscally responsible for Application Services actual-to-budget expenditures, adjusting expenditure patterns/trends as needed to comply with budgeted amounts. Prepare, revise, finalize and submit the annual budget forecast for the Applications Services Department and related technologies.
• Assesses institutional needs and provides analysis of computer information systems, processes and support.
• Define long term technology roadmap for optimization of ERP platform, Business Planning and Consolidation solution, real estate ESG, IOT systems, Property Management portfolio solutions and other business applications.
• Provides guidance, leadership and mentoring to a team of Application Services professionals. Supports and develops the technical expertise needed to meet long-term business needs. Manage staff by reviewing, approving and allocating work and work assignments among staff.
• Coordinate & guide the “Digital Transformation Team” to define and prioritize system enhancements, patches and updates.
• Develop and lead Process Improvement initiatives by participating in user group meetings to identify areas where Application Services can assist in problem solving or recommend solutions.
• Communicate cross-divisionally and coordinate with user and technical groups regarding developing application solutions, determining system requirements and modifications of systems.
• Strengthen strategic decision-making processes by implementing Artificial Intelligence, Machine Leading and Natural language processing application using historical system data of applications.
• Implement Robotic Automation Process (RPA) and Virtual Intelligent Assistance using conversational AI to bring in efficiency in business process execution.

• Coordinates and tracks customer service requests.
• Establishing an effective governance and associated processes, geared towards ensuring program success and effective communication of program progress to all relevant stakeholders.
• Establish, monitors, and ensures compliance with system standards and applicable regulations.
• Develops procedures, structures, and contracts for support, maintenance, and security of systems.
• Performs quality assurance at technical and procedural levels.
• Explores innovations and trends in technology for institutional applicability.
• Compiles data and performs analysis; provides written and oral reports and proposals to management.
• Maintains accurate and complete system documentation and business records.
• Serve as the primary liaison between third-party vendors, local regulatory and contract offices, and counterparts in other areas of IT.
• Coordinates and manages vendors, contract negotiations, licensing, maintenance contracts and service level agreements.
• Develops and documents application systems back-up and disaster recovery procedures and recourses.

Job Requirements

• 15-20 Years of IT experience working on technology innovations especially in the business ERP, CRM, real estate transaction business domain.
• Post-Graduation in Information Technology and Business Administration.
• Certification of ERP Business functions, data management and data technologies, ITIL and Project Management Professional if any.
• Proven experience and a very good understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Robotic Process Automation tools and acumen to judge the appropriate usage of those within innovation.
• Exhibits a curious and strong analytical mindset to quickly identify innovation opportunities and drive those solutions to execution.
• Strong business acumen and ability to translate technology to potential business solutions.
• To drive things forward by removing roadblocks to attain innovation goals.
• Ability to understand the Business Process and challenges to provide appropriate solution.
• Excellent Verbal and written communications skills with a strong business focus.
• Highly motivated with the ability to work independently.
