The Role

You will work with different businesses within Mapletree to define, analyse, and advise on potential real estate value creation through differentiated electrical design strategy focusing solely on Japan, Hong Kong and Vietnam projects.

Job Responsibilities

•    Design due-diligent evaluations on new projects, acquisitions or Asset Enhancement. 
•    Work closely with different MEP Consultants to derive the optimum and most efficient electrical design solutions and at the same time investigate, through independent research, the best strategic outcome for Mapletree. 
•    Identify value engineering opportunities and risks at the inception of project, review and provide advice in shortlisting MEP Consultants. 
•    Establish the Mapletree corporate-wide guidelines and processes for electrical systems across various businesses and drive sustainable initiatives. 
•    Determine design parameters, cost, materials and technologies such that it is Functional and Fit for its purpose, focusing on Building Efficiencies, Quality of Product and Opex Efficiencies. 
•    Roll out processes and guide relevant country teams to adapt such practices at country level. 

 

Job Requirements

•    Degree in Engineering specializing in Electrical with at least 7 years' relevant development or design experience (including HV system, LV system, ELV systems, etc.) in the execution of Commercial, Retail, Residential, Industrial and Logistics projects. 
•    Ability to develop schematic / concept designs for Greenfield developments or asset enhancements which meet the project briefs as well as a good understanding of the entire design, project management, and building process of development projects.
•    Possess a passionate interest in quality-built environments and designs, have a good appreciation of construction costs. 
•    Familiar with Greenmark, LEEDs and regional authorities’ requirements and able to encourage the creation of solutions appropriate to the needs of Business Units, shareholders and the environment will be preferred. 
•    Someone who seeks continuous improvement to the design and processes and is knowledgeable of sustainable development, green environmental initiatives and technologies. 
•    Possess a high level of independence, strong ownership, an analytical mind, endurance and adaptability, team player with demonstrated leadership in driving projects. 
•    Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate engineering solutions to a non-technical audience. 
•    Based in Singapore but support projects in Japan, Hong Kong and Vietnam projects. Overseas travelling may be required.
