Senior Manager, Information Systems & Technology (Infrastructure Network)
Date: 30 Mar 2026
Location: Singapore, Singapore
Company: Mapletree
The Role
This position is a hands-on senior role responsible for designing, implementing, operating, and continuously improving Mapletree Group’s global enterprise network across offices and data centres, with connectivity into cloud environments. You will lead a small team and managed service partners, but remain directly involved in technical delivery (design reviews, complex troubleshooting, changes, and automation) to ensure a secure, resilient and scalable network platform. The scope covers enterprise switching, wireless, WAN/SD‑WAN, internet edge, network security controls (firewalls/VPN), and unified communications connectivity.
Job Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end global enterprise network architecture and technical roadmap (LAN/WAN/SD‑WAN/Wi‑Fi, internet edge, DC connectivity, cloud connectivity) across a multi-vendor environment.
- Develop and maintain standard configurations and build SOPs; drive standardisation across sites.
- Lead and execute critical network implementations and complex changes (routing, segmentation, QoS, Wi‑Fi tuning, SD‑WAN policies, internet edge).
- Be the highest-tier escalation for network incidents; perform deep troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across multi-vendor environments.
- Operate and improve network security controls in partnership with the cybersecurity team (firewall policy, segmentation, VPN, logging/monitoring, and audit support).
- Establish proactive monitoring, capacity management and performance baselines; drive continuous improvement to availability and user experience.
- Automate and modernise network operations (e.g., configuration management, templating, validation, reporting) using appropriate tools and scripting.
- Manage ITSM processes for the network domain (incident, change, problem); ensure accurate documentation, diagrams and asset inventory.
- Lead, coach and develop network engineers; set technical direction, review designs/changes, and uplift operational discipline.
- Manage service providers and telco/vendors (SLA governance, escalation, renewals, procurement support) to meet cost, performance and delivery targets.
- Support unified communications connectivity and ensure network readiness for voice/video.
- Participate in on-call and after-hours support coverage for critical incidents and planned changes, when required.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science (or equivalent practical experience).
- Over 10 years experiences in enterprise networking, including ownership of design and operations for multi-site environments.
- Industry networking certification at professional level is preferred; other relevant certifications are an advantage.
- Strong routing/switching fundamentals and real-world troubleshooting experience (e.g., BGP, OSPF, VRFs, VLANs, QoS, multicast basics, NAT).
- Experience with WAN/SD‑WAN and multi-site connectivity (MPLS/Internet, path selection, policy-based routing, performance monitoring).
- Strong Wi‑Fi skills (RF fundamentals, site readiness, controller/cloud-managed operations, performance tuning and troubleshooting) across enterprise wireless environments.
- Firewall and network security experience (policy design, segmentation, VPN/remote access, logging/monitoring, vulnerability/patch coordination).
- Experience delivering network components for large programmes and migrations; comfortable working with applications, servers, endpoint and security teams.
- Working knowledge of cloud networking (AWS/Azure or equivalent): VPC/VNet design, routing, security constructs and connectivity (VPN and private connectivity options).
- Automation mindset with practical scripting/tooling exposure (e.g., Python, Ansible, APIs, Git) to improve repeatability and reduce operational risk.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; able to translate technical options into risk, cost and outcome.
- Able to lead vendors and internal engineers with clear technical direction; comfortable making decisions and owning outcomes.
- Mandarin proficiency is a plus (spoken and written) for stakeholder and vendor communication where required.
