Vice President, IS&T (SAP IT Business Partnering) (Based in Singapore)

The Role

This position will work closely with the Group, REIT and Country Finance leaders to ensure the system productivity is at its best, minimize manual activities and better system adoption from users. This role is expected to have sound knowledge of finance processes and good experience in the SAP S/4 HANA FICO and TR modules so that he/she plays the role of business partner to the finance users while providing solutions to both business and the techno-functional support team within the IT department to implement the solutions and ensures adoption. This role will report to the IS&T Director of the Enterprise Core System section team within the IT Department. 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • The IT Business Partner holds the role of overseeing the efficient delivery of high-quality IT services and IT service excellence to the client's business entities within GCFO Group. 
  • Strategic IT Management: Collaborate with the leadership to align and execute the IT strategy with the Group's. Manage the IT budget, vendor contracts, and a team of IT SAP functional support teams and project managers to ensure effective collaboration with other IT teams.
  • Service Excellence: Ensure high-quality IT services by meeting Service Level Agreement targets. Engage with corporate finance stakeholders to incorporate their IT needs into Group IT plans and facilitate the successful implementation of Group IT initiatives.
  • Project Oversight: Supervise the IT project portfolio, ensuring projects meet objectives. Mentor project managers and, when necessary, manage key programs or projects, including project planning, budget management, and resource allocation. You will analyze and define business requirements, processes and objectives to scope project and deliverables. 
  • IT Governance and Compliance: Promote the adoption of Group IT policies, procedures, and best practices by local and overseas business units within the Group CFO Office. Provide guidance on IT governance and security requirements for operational systems, ensuring compliance.

Job Requirements

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or an equivalent field.
  • Possession of a certified IT Project Management qualification.
  • A minimum of 12 years of IT expertise, including 5 years in a leadership role as an IT business partner or deputy director.
  • Proficiency in IT infrastructure and security systems, web/portal application development, and SAP, Tagetik and other Enterprise Resource Planning systems and processes.
  • A track record of successfully leading the implementation of several medium-to-large scale IT projects, each with a value exceeding S$1 million.
  • Bonus points for experience within an IT shared services organization in a business partnership capacity.
  • Expertise in configuration and implementation of Financial Accounting (FI), Management Accounting (CO), Bank Communication Management (BCM), and Treasury and Risk Management (TRM)
  • Certification in SAP S/4HANA Financial Accounting and Treasury is desired.
