Accountant (Sydney, Australia)

The Role

 

This position will be responsible for the full spectrum of finance functions in accordance with statutory requirements, company policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for timely preparation and accurate reporting of financial matters such as management reports, financial statements, analysis of results, budgeting and forecasting, EVA, Corporate tax and BAS reporting, audit schedules, bank and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Work closely with outsourced service providers and review the work submitted.
  • Liaise with finance team based in Singapore headquarters for monthly, quarterly and yearly closing activities; and budgeting and forecasting exercises.
  • Liaise with auditors and tax consultants on year end and tax compliance matters.
  • Treasury related matters such as bank covenant reporting, cash flow management and forecasting.
  • Required to perform credit review on vendors/tenants, as well as other ad-hoc matters

Job Requirements

  • CPA/CA qualified and/or Degree in Accounting/Finance.
  • Minimum 4 years’ relevant hands-on experience in Big 4 Accounting firms or Real estate industry will be highly regarded.
  • Strong understanding of AASB framework as well as Australia income tax and GST legislation.
  • Proficient in MS Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with SAP system would be advantageous.
  • Responsible, meticulous, analytical, organized and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
