Analyst, Investment (Based in Sydney, Australia)

The Role

 

This position will primarily be involved in the Group’s investment activities, including asset acquisitions and divestments and development projects for commercial office in Australia. In addition, the position will involve portfolio management of the Group's existing commercial assets in Australia so as to support fund syndication initiatives and private funds management.

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Assist in end-to-end investment and/or divestment transactions, including origination, research, deal evaluation and structuring, financial analysis (including financial modeling), preparation and presentation of investment proposal papers and deal execution
  • Work closely with the country team and Singapore HQ team to understand the business environment, financial and operational performance our existing assets and/or potential acquisitions so as to formulate robust strategies and plans for the real estate portfolio that would optimise income and realise the highest value of these assets
  • Support various internal and external reporting requirements for the business unit and the portfolio
  • Other responsibilities include staying abreast of changes in the market and business environment; managing market / industry research and benchmarking intelligence to ensure competitiveness of the Group's products and services; contributing to investment budgeting and complying with standard operating procedures and policies across the business unit and the Group

Job Requirements

 

  • Degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance or a related discipline and/or at least 1 year of relevant working experience in portfolio/fund management and syndication, investment and/or asset management.
  • Resourcefulness, a keen analytical mind and proficiency in financial analysis and modelling are essential.
  • Other key attributes include good teamwork, effective communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, strong initiative, good business and financial acumen, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Domestic travelling may be required.
