Assistant Manager, Asset Management and Investment, Australia

The Role

Will be primarily involved in analysis, research, reporting and lease management for the Group's Logistics Asset Management and Investment division in Australia. The role includes contributing to or co-ordinating monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of property performance, budgeting, lease management and analysis as well as assisting with and supporting acquisition and development activity. The candidate must be able to work in a team consisting of property, asset and investment managers, finance managers, be highly numerate and a good communicator.

Job Responsibilities

• Directly supporting the Asset Management and leasing team to analyse leasing deals, compare to relevant budgets and prepare approval papers. Exposure will be provided to the lease deal process across the portfolio
• Keeping and building a data base of latest comparable leasing and sales transactions
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of property financial performance
• Assisting in preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Assisting with acquisitions of investments and development opportunities including co-ordination of due diligence material and data rooms along with post-acquisition and divestment activities and contribution to acquisition approval process and papers

Job Requirements

• Degree in any of Real Estate / Land Economics, Business, Finance or related discipline
• Strong Excel analytical skills
• Around 5yrs relevant work experience in Australia or relevant markets
• Resourceful with a keen analytical and commercial mind and
• Good communication skills with strong English speaking ability

Desirable:

• Property valuation / valuation modelling experience
• Experience with Argus or similar tools
• Exposure to a property funds / trust environment
• Some development exposure
