The Role

 

This position will report to the Vice President, Asset Management and Investment, Logistics, Australia and will assist in formulating and executing portfolio management strategies for a logistics real estate portfolio in Australia. 

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Assist with the overall positioning of assets, the enhancement of cash flow and asset value. 
  • Assist with the retention of existing tenants, and marketing and leasing of vacant premises.
  • Assist with delivering sustainable and consistent returns to the stakeholders and drive the portfolio performance through effective marketing/leasing, as well as property and asset management plans.
  • In conjunction with Property Management (internal/external) review monthly property budgets and forecasting, along with the annual preparation and review of the property budgets.
  • Working with Group Development Management team to ensure seamless delivery of new developments.
  • Oversee the external Property and Facility Management team to ensure the assets are properly maintained, managed and compliant with regulations. Includes ensuring that CoC and BG’s are current/up to date, timely and accurate setup of new tenants etc.
  • Working with Property Management (internal/external) on arrears management.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external legal on property related matters.
  • Working with the portfolio analyst team in preparing asset plans and reporting requirements.
  • Preparation of internal approval papers.

Job Requirements

 

  • Degree in Real Estate, Building, Business, Finance, Engineering or its equivalent
  • At least 5-7 years’ experience in investment and asset management in the real estate industry and have good knowledge of the logistics real estate in Australia.
  • Resourceful, have an analytical mind and proficiency in financial modeling.
  • Excellent leadership skills, strong initiative, good business and financial acumen, and great independence in working in a fast-paced environment.
