The Role

 

The Mapletree Associate Programme (MAP) offers fresh graduates an opportunity to enter into the exciting real estate industry with one of the leading real estate companies.

 

Taking place over 12 months, the MAP is created for you to build functional and team skills through on-the-job training. You can expect to be exposed to assignments within our Japan Office, and a short-term assignment in Singapore HQ for cultural and job experience. At the end of the programme you will continue your career with one of the business unit in our Japan Office.

Job Responsibilities

 

As an Executive, Mapletree Associate Programme in our Investment & Asset Management function, you will be supporting the Japan businesses in pursuing and evaluating business opportunities, formulating potential exit strategy and execution of asset management strategies, and plans for the real estate portfolio.

 

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual asset management reports and provide required information to Headquarter and investors.

  • Monitor and oversee property revenue, occupancy levels, operating expenses and capital expenditures.

  • Assist in the planning and execution of repair or renovation and building maintenance programs for properties

  • Conduct leasing and marketing of vacant space in both Japan and overseas portfolio to Japanese prospects and tenants and communicate with lenders, trust banks, accounting firms, lawyers, project manager and contractors.

  • Negotiate terms and conditions of contract or agreements, take initiative for asset enhancement activities and assist in structuring or negotiation of deals, acquisitions, re-structuring, refinancing and dispositions

  • Prepare presentation and approval papers in English to obtain approvals from the headquarters

Job Requirements

 

  • Fresh Bachelor’s degree graduates from accredited academic institutions

  • Business English skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing

  • Highly proficient in MS Excel, Power Point and Word

  • Motivated and interested in the real estate business

  • Energetic and keen to take up challenges and new experiences

  • Agile learners with critical thinking skills; think “out-of-box”

  • Able to perform under pressure and uncertainties

  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
