Director / Vice President, Business Development, Logistics Development, Poland (based in Warsaw)

The Role

 

This position will be responsible for driving Mapletree’s Logistics development business in Poland and Hungary in close cooperation with local and global Asset management and Portfolio management teams.

Job Responsibilities

•    Lead development opportunities into investment transactions from end-to-end, including origination, research, feasibility study, deal structuring, financial analysis (including investment modeling) and project execution.
•    Drives growth of the real estate development portfolio by building relationships, origination of new investments and business opportunities and running development projects. 
•    Responsible for the overall market positioning and achieving the financial, investment, and operational goals of the assigned portfolio.
•    Formulate and execute development strategies and plans for the real estate portfolio, including marketing strategies to optimize income and create optimal value of our assets and land.
•    Set up and review budgets and reports which cover the financial performance of the asset/land, leasing status, project/construction management as well as formulating the potential exit strategy.
•    Manage market intelligence and collate global market / industry information to ensure competitiveness of the Company’s products and services.
•    Work closely with Asset Management, Investment and Group Development Management teams on underwriting, construction and planning, leasing, and overall project accountability.
•    Initial development completion target in year 1 is 50k sqm and year 2 is 100k sqm.
•    Design and implement Mapletree’s European development (internal and external) infra structure in line with the company’s ambition and local market requirements.

 

Job Requirements

•    Degree in Real Estate, Construction, Business, Finance, Engineering or its equivalent.
•    Brings a deep network of sector participants including architects, agents, consultants, etc.  
•    At least 15 years of experience in investment, development and asset management for the real estate industry.
•    Resourceful, have an analytical mind and proficiency in financial modeling. 
•    Efficient communicator with the ability to adapt style and tone to audience and situation. Fluent writing and speaking in English.
•    Excellent leadership skills, strong initiator, good business and financial acumen, and great independence in working in a fast-paced environment.
•    National and international travelling is required for this role.
