The Role
Responsible for the operational, financial and strategic management of the Western European property portfolio, ensuring strong asset performance, effective service delivery and successful execution of business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Portfolio Leadership: Lead property management activities across the Western European portfolio, ensuring operational excellence, asset performance, regulatory compliance and service quality.
- Financial Management: Own the annual OPEX and CAPEX planning process, support budgeting and forecasting, and ensure effective cost control across the portfolio.
- Capital Projects & Technical Governance: Oversee major CAPEX projects, technical initiatives and compliance programmes, working closely with Technical Services and Asset Management teams.
- Service Provider Management: Manage outsourced property managers and key service providers, ensuring contractual compliance, operational performance and continuous improvement.
- ESG & Regulatory Compliance: Support the delivery of ESG initiatives, energy performance objectives and regulatory compliance requirements across all properties.
- Risk & Governance: Provide oversight of incidents, insurance matters, audits, inspections and operational risk management across the portfolio.
- Team Leadership: Lead, develop and mentor the Property Management team, fostering collaboration, accountability and high performance.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary Property Management interface with Asset Management, tenants, consultants, service providers and senior management.
Job Requirements
- Possess a degree in Building, Real Estate, Facilities Management, or related engineering discipline.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience and knowledge of all phases of property management and procurement of property management services.
- Possess sound knowledge of M&E systems and building services
- Working knowledge of ESG strategies within the Real Estate industry
- Excellent team player with strong planning, communication and good interpersonal skills are essential.
- Equipped with strong leadership and project management skills, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Ability to be proactive and to manage operations and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in logistics and commercial/office property.
- Multi-country property management leadership, preferred.
- Dutch and English are required; proficiency in an additional language is a plus.
