The Role
This position will work with Asset Managers in leading all aspects of development works, including overall development management of new developments and existing assets across different sector classes ranging from commercial, retail, residential, industrial and logistics projects.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end project delivery ensuring timelines, budgets, safety, and quality standards are consistently met.
- Lead and coordinate internal teams and consultants across feasibility, design, procurement, construction, and handover stages, providing clear direction and accountability.
- Ensure regulatory compliance by managing authority submissions, navigating local requirements, and aligning with corporate DOA and procurement processes.
- Drive design development from feasibility studies through execution, ensuring efficiency in net lettable/saleable areas and alignment with company strategy.
- Collaborate with stakeholders including HQ, Asset Management, and business units to define scopes, assess risks, and implement mitigation measures.
- Develop procurement strategies to secure competitive costs, manage consultant/contractor/vendor shortlisting, and oversee contract negotiations and variation orders.
- Monitor construction progress by forecasting, tracking, and reviewing site activities, costs, safety, and quality to achieve project targets.
- Manage financial performance through expense tracking, cost-saving initiatives, and maintaining budgets while ensuring project profitability.
- Support corporate initiatives in sustainability, buildability, compliance, and governance, embedding these values into project execution.
- Provide strong leadership in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and team management, maintaining integrity and zero tolerance for malpractice.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Project Management or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant strong experience in full cycle development, from design, project management, project administration to site execution of projects.
- Priority will be given to those with integrated development experience.
- Possess strong business acumen, strong communication skills, able to operate team independently, has cultural sensitivity, has strong endurance and high adaptability to change.
- Seeks continuous improvement to design and processes through consistently challenging the status quo or value engineering as the optimum solution to all aspects of the project and development.
- Possess positive mindset with strong organization and planning skills.
- Possess good problem-solving skills. Resolve conflicts, delays and unforeseen issues effectively.
- Deep understanding of the construction industry, construction methods, contracts, regulations and good industry network.
